What are most people looking for when they log onto the Internet?

With the explosion of web 2 and the integration of social networks on the Internet, people are spending more time online than at any other time in the history of the Internet. People shop online, socialise online, share information online, and more people than ever before are now looking to generate income online. It is a natural progression when you think about it.

One of the biggest selling categories on the Internet today is Information products, it has always been that way and it always will. Information products is a broad term, you can think of it as any form of media that provides information to the buyer, Books, CD’s, DVD’s, eBooks, Membership Sites, the list is pretty much endless.

In this section I will focus mainly on eBooks, simply because it is the product I believe has the greatest potential.

What are eBooks?
An eBook is the digital media equivalent of a conventional printed book. Usually accessed on personal computers, although the posibilites for storing and reading eBooks have significantly grown with advancement in recent teckknowlege.
Most eBooks are downloadable documents, alothough some are availiable in physical forms such as CD or printed versions.

A Few Of The benefits Associated With eBooks.
1. Ebooks are delivered almost instantaneously. You can purchase, download and start reading them within minutes.
2. Ebooks take up less space. You don't need a room or even a bookshelf for them. You can store thousands of ebooks in your computer.
3. Ebooks can show links, for easy access to more information and related websites.
4. Ebooks are searchable. You can easily search for any information in an ebook, instead of turning page after page.
 
Resale Rights & eBooks.
From an Internet Marketing perspective the real benefit of eBooks come with the Resale Rights. Take a moment to imagine this scenario.
 
  • You find an eBook on my website that covers a subject to you are trying to learn more about.

 

  • You purchase the eBook from me for lets say £2.50.

 

  • A few moments later you are downloading the information straight onto your computer.

 

  • You make a backup copy or print a copy to ensure you now have that information for as long as you need it.

 

  • You read the eBook and extract the information you were looking for. I think you would agree you have had value for your £2.50 purchase.

 

But now the benefit of resale right kicks in.
